Course Syllabus: Introduction to Dowsing - A Better Way of LifeCourse DescriptionThank you for looking at this course, an Introduction to Dowsing! This dowsing course allows you to access your natural intuition, and bring it into your daily life. Many people have discovered an interest in dowsing lately, as a large part of the New Age movement. Also known as "witching" or "water witching", others remember when their grandfather or neighbor dowsed for water. "Pendulum dowsing" is popular now, which is what a lot of this course contains. If you've ever wanted to learn this fascinating skill, this course was designed for you! It's been estimated that 98% of people can dowse if they try. If you're even looking at this class description, I know you're not part of the other 2%! Dowsing allows us to get in touch with Higher Power and work it daily into the way we live. Is there a better way of life than being guided by Higher Consciousness? If you want to be healthier, more in control of your situations, and happier, dowsing can get you there! It does this by teaching you how to "tune in" to Higher Power, which wants the best for us and to help us reach our highest potential. Are you ready to change your life, become healthier and work on a higher level? I look forward to exploring dowsing with you. Course RequirementsWhat is required for this course is an open mind to “new age†topics. You must be able to read well enough to keep up with the material, which will not be difficult. You will be required to have a pendulum and two “L-Rods.â€Â If you do not already have these, though they can be bought, I would suggest you make your own. Therefore, you will need string, a weighted object (rings work well), and two wire coat hangers (and a method of cutting them). Not required, but highly recommended, is Dale Olson’s book, Pendulum Charts.
This course is six lessons long. This is "An Introduction to Dowsing", which means there is no dowsing or other experience required. I recommend taking one to two lessons a week; with sufficient practice you should not be able to take three in one week. That means it should take you three weeks to complete this course. Each lesson has activities, an exam, and an assignment. These should all be completed at your own pace. Course GoalsBy the end of this course, you should be able to explain what dowsing is, and how to use dowsing tools. You should be able to successfully dowse with a variety of tools by asking appropriate dowsing phrases, and have a clear understanding of concepts behind them. You should be able to find lost objects, dowse from a distance, and use a pendulum chart successfully.
The purpose of this course is to enhance your life by allowing you to better access your intuition. There is no degree or sudden knowledge that comes with dowsing; you will need to practice it daily to experience the benefits. Course MaterialsThere are no books or items needed for purchase for this course. As mentioned in "Course Requirements", you will need to make dowsing tools. That will require two SOLID WIRE coat hangers, something to cut them with. Also, a string and a weighted object to make a pendulum. You may buy these products but making them yourself is just as effective. The book "Pendulum Charts" by Dale Olson will be brought up- It is not required for this course but I highly suggest you purchase a copy.
Grading PolicyYou will be graded on how well you comprehend the concepts of the topics covered. Again, there is no way to "grade" your dowsing ability, which will take time to develop. Each lesson will have an exam behind it and most lessons have a written assignment for you to complete. The assignment is 20% of the lesson grade and the exam is the other 80%.
